Welcome the SuperCal 98G Calculator

This calculator was developed to help you adjust your use of traditional ag lime to using SuperCal 98G.

Start by looking at your soil sample, where it shows the lime recommendation. Place the lime rec in tons in the box “AgLime Tons Per Recommendation.

Many times the results give you tons needed at 90% ECCE. Most of ag lime has an ECCE of only 50%. Place the ECCE of the ag lime you use in the ECCE (%) box. Find out your local ag lime ECCE here.

Retail Cost: Our dealers set their own prices, you can get exact numbers from your fertilizer dealerSuperCal 98G is priced per hundred weight and ag lime by the ton. SuperCal 98G generally ranges from $7 to $12 per 100lbs.  Ag lime from $7 to $15 or more per ton. 

Freight: Freight for SuperCal 98G is generally figured into the retail cost, though additional frieght charges may apply. Ag lime freight can range from $5 to $25 per ton. Your dealer can tell you the existing cost per ton.

Application: On average, SuperCal 98G application the same as other dry fertilizers. If you spread it, or mix it with other dry fertilizers the application could be $0. Ag lime application is often $5-$8 per ton.

Drift Loss: SuperCal 98G, due to it being pelletized, has virtually zero drift loss and because it is dried to less than 1% moisture you are not paying for water. Ag lime, if too dry or crushed too fine can have a loss of 25% or greater. If the product sat outside or is watered down to reduce drift, you are paying for water. Whether dry or wet, ag lime costs you 20-25% more.
