🌱 Join Our Summer Webinar Series:

At Calcium Products, we believe healthy soil is the foundation of healthy crops—and this June, we’re digging deep into the science behind it. Join our Research & Development team for a free, informative Summer Webinar Series on Soil Health, where we’ll break down the key factors influencing soil performance and how to optimize it for stronger yields and smarter fertilizer investments.

Meet the Experts:

These 30-minute sessions will be led by:

  • Andrew Holberg, Ph.D., VP of Research & Development

  • Glen Howell, Technical Sales Agronomist

  • Josh Enderson, Technical Sales Agronomist

All sessions run from 10:00 – 10:30 AM CDT on June 17th, 19th, 24th, and 26th, and have been submitted for 0.5 CEU in Nutrient Management.

1) Webinar Overview: Basics of Soil pH and Liming Materials

Understanding soil pH is fundamental to optimizing crop performance and nutrient availability. This webinar, “Basics of Soil pH and Liming Materials,” provides a clear introduction to how soil pH influences plant health and how various liming materials can be used to correct soil acidity. We’ll explore the role of hydrogen ions in soil chemistry, the difference between active and reserve acidity, and the function of materials like ag lime and pelletized lime. Attendees will also learn how to interpret soil test results, determine appropriate application rates, and make informed choices for improving soil conditions and maximizing return on fertilizer investments.

2) Webinar Overview: Soil pH and the Cost of Nutrient Availability

Soil pH is more than just a number—it directly affects how efficiently your crops can access applied nutrients. In this session, “Soil pH and the Cost of Nutrient Availability,” we’ll explore the economic impact of soil acidity on nutrient uptake and fertilizer efficiency. Attendees will gain insights into how suboptimal pH levels tie up key nutrients like phosphorus, potassium, and micronutrients, leading to diminished yield potential and wasted input dollars. We’ll cover how to quantify these hidden costs and demonstrate how proper pH management—through timely liming—can unlock yield potential, improve ROI, and enhance long-term soil health.
